Navn: Sumatratiger - Panthera tigris sumatrae
Population: Mindre end 400. Det er en kritisk truet dyreart. I 1978 var det vurderet at der var omkring 1000
Levested: Den indonesiske ø, Sumatra
Største trusler: Tigerne mister levesteder og føde. Derfor flytter tigerne sig tættere på områder hvor sandsynligheden er større for at de møder mennesker. Derudover er tigerne også jaget for deres pels og knogler.

Population: Less than 400. It is a critically endangered species. In 1978 there were 1,000.
Habitat: The Indonesian Island of Sumatra
Main threats: The tigers are losing habitat and prey. As a result the tigers move into areas where they are more likely to come in conflict with people. Also, the tigers are hunted for their skin and bones.
